Kristin Fisher is joining CNN in 2021. She will be the Space and Defense Correspondent. In that role she will cover everything from NASA and the recently created Space Force, to commercial space companies and the advent of space tourism. Being the daughter of two NASA astronauts, Kristin has a background in the field of space and has worked for the past five years covering the Trump and Biden Administration's space policies as an White House Correspondent for FOX News. In that time she covered the 2020 presidential campaign, the impeachment trial as well as two initiatives to end the corona virus pandemic, in addition to two distinct administrations' efforts. Her extensive travels with the Vice President and the President included an exclusive trip to Afghanistan and Afghanistan, which she travelled on with Donald Trump. Prior to being hired by the channel in, Kristin spent nearly a decade working her way up in local TV news stations which included Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she received the Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the city's CBS affiliate. Kristin's skills as a camerawoman helped her establish Field Mouse Films which specialized creating documentary-style films for clients of corporate nature, like Uber Hotels & Resorts and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism at Boston University. Her husband and three year-old daughter reside in Washington, D.C.
